A routine visit here is a cleaning and a careful look, in that order. The hygienist removes the plaque and tartar a toothbrush cannot reach, polishes, and notes anything that has changed since your last visit. Then the dentist checks each tooth, your gums, and your bite, with X-rays taken only when they are actually due.
Twice a year is the usual rhythm for most people; some gums do better on a shorter cycle, and we will say so if yours do. Expect about an hour in the chair, a straight answer on anything we find, and no treatment plan sprung on you at the front desk.
